Kate Broadbent joined the Center for University Advising as a First Year Advisor in the College of Arts & Letters in 2023. Prior to this role, Broadbent worked in Catholic secondary education as a theology teacher, campus minister, and college guidance counselor and most recently served as the Assistant Director of Spirituality for Notre Dame's Campus Ministry. Dedicated to student accompaniment, Broadbent's advising philosophy centers on fostering curiosity within students' intellectual pursuits with an eye toward both meaning-making and career and vocational discernment.
 
Broadbent earned both a B.A. in English and International Economics (2016) and a Master of Divinity (2021) from the University of Notre Dame.
